Prior to her work at BARBERMURPHY she grew a niche ecommerce business, Bush Craft Furniture, restoring and refurbishing vintage furniture. Her small business grew a following of over 61,000 followers; engaging a monthly average of 1.2 million followers worldwide.
With a desire to apply her marketing expertise in the real estate sector, she began her career at BARBERMURPHY, where she offered administrative and marketing support to the firm's twenty commercial real estate brokers. In due course, she acquired her Illinois Broker License.
Katie's proficiency and focus on technology have proven to be one of her most valuable professional assets. Originally from Caledonia, North Dakota, Katie moved from Hickam, AFB, Honolulu, Hawaii on military orders to Scott AFB with her Husband, Greg and children Kahlea and Wyatt. As military spouse, Katie has been relocated many times over the past 16 years with her family. Recently her husband transferred to the Active Guard Reserve, to make it possible to plant roots locally.
She is also involved as an active board member for the non-profit Freeburg Jr. Midget Football and Cheerleading organization.
